Model BL1860B of the Makita 6.0Ah battery provides extended run time, boasting twice the usage time per charge as the Makita 3.0Ah battery and a market-leading charge time of just 55 minutes. This means more time spent working and less time waiting for the battery to charge. The battery also includes an on-board L.E.D. charge level indicator for easy monitoring of battery levels.

The 18V LXT 6.0Ah battery is exclusively compatible with Star protection tools, identified by the Star symbol and/or Yellow battery receiver located under the tool. Makita offers a wide range of over 125 18V cordless tools with Star protection, and more are being developed. These Lithium-Ion batteries from Makita are designed to resist self-discharge, ensuring they remain ready for use even after long periods of storage. Pair the battery with the separately sold Makita Rapid Optimum Charger, a smart-charging system that communicates with the battery during charging to monitor current, voltage, and temperature. This innovative technology helps prolong battery life and speed up charging times.

The Rapid Optimum Charger also features a built-in fan to cool the battery during charging, making the process faster and more efficient, even in hot weather conditions. The BL1860B-2 model comes as a two-pack, including two 18V LXT Lithium-Ion 6.0Ah batteries. The integrated L.E.D. battery charge level indicator allows users to easily keep track of the battery charge status. With up to twice as much run time per charge compared to the BL1830 model, reaching a full charge in 55 minutes or less, this battery provides consistent power and run time in extreme temperatures, including winter conditions as low as -4°F/-20°C.
