Makita 18V LXT Lithium-Ion Compact Router

The 18V Brushless Compact Router (model XTR01T7, tool only, batteries and charger sold separately) combines the power of corded tools with the convenience of cordless operation. Featuring an efficient Makita BL Brushless Motor, this router offers up to 50% longer run time, increased power, faster speeds, and extended tool life. It is compatible with Makita 18V LXT Lithium-Ion batteries, which are sold separately.

Engineered for a wide range of cabinetry and woodworking applications, the XTR01Z includes a variable speed control dial (10,000 – 30,000 RPM) to adjust the speed according to the task at hand. Electronic speed control ensures a consistent speed even under heavy loads, while the soft start feature allows for smoother startups and improved accuracy. Convenience features such as the rack-and-pinion fine depth adjustment system, dual L.E.D. lights for illumination, and a quick release cam lock system make depth adjustments and base installation/removal easy and efficient. Additional bases and attachments are available for separate purchase.

Users of corded Makita Compact Routers (models RT0700C, RT0701C) will find that the bases from these routers are fully compatible with the XTR01Z. The router can also be connected to Makita vacuum cleaners for better dust extraction with the optional dust nozzle.

Part of Makita's expanding 18V Lithium-Ion system, the XTR01Z is powered by 18V Lithium-Ion slide-style batteries, known for their quick charge times, allowing users to spend more time working and less time waiting. To improve tool performance and extend battery life, Makita introduced Star Protection Computer Controls, which enable communication between the tool and battery to monitor conditions in real time and protect against overloading, over-discharging, and overheating.

The Makita built Brushless motor offers faster and more precise cuts in various materials, adjusting torque and RPM based on the application's requirements. The tool also features variable speed control, electronic speed control for consistent operation, and an on/off button with a lock button for added safety.
