Makita has a long history of innovation in the cordless impact driver category, and their latest offering, the 18V LXT® Brushless 4-Speed Impact Driver (XDT19), is raising the bar. This impressive tool features 4-speed power selections (0-1,100/ 0-2,100/ 0-3,200/ 0-3,600 RPM & 0-1,100/ 0-2,600/ 0-3,600/ 0-3,800 IPM) that offer precise fastening control for a wide variety of applications.

The XDT19 is equipped with Assist Mode (A-mode), which is designed to prevent "screw cam-out" and "cross threading" by initially driving at a low speed until tightening begins. Additionally, it boasts two Tightening Modes (T-mode) that allow for faster tightening of self-drilling screws in thick or thin gauge metal, reducing the risk of damage to the screw or workpiece. Despite its high performance, the XDT19 is designed to be compact and ergonomic for ease of use.

Convenience is key with the XDT19, as it features a one-touch 4-speed power selector button located under the chuck, enabling users to change speeds with just one hand. The reverse rotation auto-stop mode is another handy feature, stopping rotation and impact when the fastener is adequately loosened to prevent over-loosening and dropped fasteners.

Part of Makita's expansive 18V LXT® system, the XDT19 is compatible with a range of 18V Lithium-Ion batteries. These batteries are known for their fast charge times, allowing users to spend more time working and less time waiting for their tools to charge. For added protection and improved tool performance, Makita has incorporated Star Protection Computer Controls™, a communication technology that monitors conditions during use to prevent overloading, over-discharging, and overheating.

The XDT19 is also equipped with Quick-Shift Mode, which utilizes the brushless motor's electronic controls to optimize speed and torque for each application, resulting in more efficient fastening.
