The Makita 6.0Ah battery, known as model BL1860B, enhances run time significantly, providing double the amount of run time per charge in comparison to the Makita 3.0Ah battery. Moreover, it boasts a leading charge time of only 55 minutes, allowing you to spend more time actually working rather than waiting for the battery to charge. Additionally, the battery features an on-board L.E.D. charge level indicator that lets you keep track of the battery's charge status.

It is important to note that the 18V LXT 6.0Ah battery is only compatible with Star Protection tools, which can be easily identified by the Star Symbol and/or Yellow Battery Receiver located on the tool. With over 125 Makita 18V cordless tools featuring Star Protection available, and more being developed, the compatibility options are ever-expanding.

Makita 18V Lithium-Ion batteries are engineered to resist self-discharge, ensuring they remain ready for use even after extended periods of storage. For optimal charging, the Makita Rapid Optimum Charger (sold separately) is equipped with smart-charging technology that communicates with the battery during charging to monitor current, voltage, and temperature.
